Sacred Rituals of the Two Beans

Two Sacred Beans is my 90-minute cultural tasting experience that explores two of the world’s most beloved and meaningful beverages: coffee and cacao.

​

In this experience, I guide guests through the history, culture, and ceremonial importance of coffee from Ethiopia and cacao from Mesoamerica and South America.

 

These are more than everyday drinks. They are sacred plants with deep ancestral roots, rich cultural traditions, and powerful stories of community, hospitality, nourishment, and ritual.

Guests are introduced to the traditions surrounding the Ethiopian coffee ceremony and the ceremonial use of cacao in Mesoamerican and South American cultures.

 

While this is not a formal reproduction of either ceremony, it offers a respectful and educational introduction to their cultural significance and the ways these sacred beverages have brought people together for generations.

Throughout the experience, guests enjoy guided tastings that highlight the aroma, flavor, texture, and story of both coffee and cacao. We explore how each one connects to land, culture, ceremony, and shared human experience.

Two Sacred Beans is warm, soulful, and deeply grounding. It is ideal for cultural events, retreats, private gatherings, wellness groups, community organizations, and anyone interested in the sacred history behind what we drink.

This experience is my invitation to gather, taste, listen, and honor the beauty of two sacred beans that have shaped ceremonies, communities, and conversations across the world.
